Shipping and delivery of containers

Delivery zones

We deliver everywhere in Mainland France from our network of deposits distributed across the territory. Our teams automatically select the depot closest to your construction site to optimize delivery time and cost.

For deliveries to Corsica, French overseas departments and territories (DROM-COM) or abroad (Europe, North Africa, etc.), Request a personalized quote from us.

Delivery methods

  • Delivery by flatbed truck — The container is delivered to your site but is not unloaded by the carrierUnloading is your responsibility, using your own equipment (heavy-duty forklift, telehandler, mobile crane). Please ensure that the equipment and operator are on site at the scheduled time.
  • Delivery by crane truck — The container is placed precisely in the chosen location. Suitable for difficult access or for placement on blocks/beams. The length of the telescopic arm determines the maximum placement distance.
  • Collection from depot (removal) — You (or your carrier) come and load the container directly at one of our depots, by appointment confirmed by our teams. The transport tray must be equipped with twist locks (TWISTLOCK). to secure the container. No removal can be carried out without this device.
Things to consider before delivery:
  • A drivable access road suitable for a semi-trailer (sufficient height, width, and turning radius)
  • A flat, stable, and load-bearing surface — avoid waterlogged or loose ground
  • An adult present to check and sign the delivery note
  • Any necessary permits if the installation is planned on public roads

Indicative deadlines

From the date of order confirmation:

  • Standard containers (20', 40', 40' HC) in stock : 5 to 10 working days
  • Specific containers (45' Pallet Wide, refrigerated, bungalows) : 10 to 20 working days
  • Custom-made or converted containers : deadline specified in the quote

A specific delivery window (half-day) is communicated to you by the carrier the day before or two days before the delivery.

Transportation costs

The cost of delivery depends on three factors:

  • The distance between the starting depot and your construction site
  • The chosen unloading method (flatbed or crane)
  • The type and number of containers transported

The shipping cost is always clearly indicated on your quote, before you confirm your order. No hidden costs You are not charged upon delivery.

Reception and transfer of risks

Upon delivery, you have a few minutes to check the container in the presence of the driver. Any issues (impact, visible defect, incorrect item) must be noted. mentioned on the delivery note then confirmed in writing within 48 hours to sav@cubner.com, supporting photos.

The transfer of risk takes place upon delivery of the container to the buyer (or their representative) at the address indicated when the order was placed.

Cancellation & return of a container

Right of withdrawal (private customers)

In accordance with Article L221-18 of the Consumer Code, if you are a consumer (non-professional), you have a period of 14 calendar days from the date of receipt of the container to exercise your right of withdrawal, without having to justify your decision or pay any penalty.

How to exercise your right of withdrawal?

You can use the standard withdrawal form provided for in the Consumer Code, although this is not mandatory.

Legal exclusions

In accordance with Article L221-28 of the Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal cannot be exercised for:

  • The custom-made containers or clearly personalized (specific layouts, cutouts, custom paint jobs, furnished bungalows, etc.)
  • The containers that were fitted out, transformed or modified after delivery by you or a third party
  • The services (transport, installation, handling, crane rental) must be fully performed before the end of the 14-day period, with your express agreement.

Return procedures and costs

In the event of a valid withdrawal:

  • The container must be returned in its original condition, without damage or modification, within 14 days of your notification of withdrawal.
  • The return costs are your responsibilityGiven the weight (2 to 4 tonnes) and dimensions of a container, these costs are significant: upon request, we can put you in touch with one of our partner carriers to optimize the cost.
  • The refund will be issued at the latest 14 days after receipt of the container in our warehouse, using the same payment method as the purchase.
  • A discount may be applied if the container shows damage not attributable to the outbound transport.
Business (B2B) clients: The 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to purchases made for professional purposes. All return requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis — please contact your Cubner sales representative.

Spare parts & accessories

This section applies exclusively to spare parts and accessories ordered via our online store: locks and locking bars, door seals, hinges, handles, flooring, touch-up paints, ventilation, etc.

Shipping methods

Spare parts are shipped from our central warehouse by tracked package via our partner carriers (La Poste / Colissimo, Chronopost, DPD, Mondial Relay) depending on the weight and destination.

  • Shipped to your door or relay pointdepending on the option chosen in the shopping cart
  • Free pickup Available at one of our depots, by appointment.
  • Tracking A tracking number will be sent to you by email as soon as the package is handed over to the carrier.

Time limit

  • Order preparation within 24 to 48 business hours after payment confirmation
  • Standard delivery within mainland France : 2 to 5 working days
  • Express delivery (Chronopost 24h) : optional paid service, subject to availability
  • Custom-made parts (Import, rare item): Delivery time confirmed by email after validation

Shipping fees

Shipping costs are calculated automatically based on the package weight and the delivery addressThey are always clearly displayed in the shopping cart summary, before payment confirmation.

Cancellation & return of a part

For individual customers, the 14-day right of withdrawal applies under the conditions of Article L221-18 of the Consumer Code, from the date of receipt of the item.

Conditions to be met for a part return:

  • Part returned new, uninstalled, unusedin its original packaging
  • All accessories and any instructions included
  • Prior request by email to sav@cubner.com to get a return number (No returns accepted without this number)
  • Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.
  • Refund within 14 days maximum after receiving and inspecting the item, using the same payment method as the purchase.

Excludes: In accordance with Article L221-28 of the Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal does not apply to parts custom cut, manufactured to your specificationsor obviously installed or used after delivery.

Was the part received damaged or not as described? Do not activate the cancellation procedure: contact our customer service department directly at sav@cubner.com Please include photos and the order number. We will arrange the return at our expense and process a prompt exchange or refund.

Guarantees & after-sales service

Regardless of the right of withdrawal, each container sold by Cubner benefits from a warranty tailored to its nature:

  • First-trip containers (new) : Cubner lifetime warranty — unique in France, covering structural and waterproofing defects.
  • Used containers : legal guarantee against hidden defects according to articles 1641 et seq. of the Civil Code, supplemented by our quality control before delivery.
  • Refrigerated containers (IceCubner) : manufacturer's warranty on the refrigeration unit, detailed conditions in the quote.
  • Spare parts and accessories : legal guarantee of conformity of 2 years (articles L217-3 et seq. of the Consumer Code) for private customers, supplemented by the manufacturer's guarantee where it exists (key locks, refrigeration units, etc.).

If you notice any defects after receiving your order, please contact our customer service department at sav@cubner.com with photos and container number. We will reply within 48 business hours.

F.A.Q

Can I cancel my order before delivery?

Yes. As long as the container hasn't left our warehouse or the part hasn't been shipped, you can cancel your order by simply emailing us at sav@cubner.comIf transport has already been arranged, the cancellation will be treated as a return and the round-trip transport costs may remain your responsibility.

What should I do if I notice a defect or damage upon delivery?

Record the issue in writing on the delivery note given by the driver (precise description: impact, dent, paint defect, missing part, etc.), then confirm it within 48 hours to sav@cubner.com with photos and the container or order number. A delivery note signed without reservation makes any subsequent dispute much more difficult.

Is unloading the container included in the transport?

It depends on the mode chosen. delivery by flatbed truckUnloading is your responsibility: you should arrange for a heavy-duty forklift, a telehandler, or a mobile crane with its operator. delivery by crane truckOur driver will unload and place the container at the location agreed upon with you beforehand.

What type of tray is accepted for a deposit withdrawal?

Only platforms equipped with twist locks (TWISTLOCK) are accepted. This device is mandatory to secure the container during transport. Any collection presented with a non-compliant tray will be refused by our depot teams, without exception.

Can I exercise my right of withdrawal on a custom-made container?

No. Article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code excludes goods made to your specifications or clearly personalized from the right of withdrawal: custom fittings, cuts, paintwork, furnished bungalows, etc. This exclusion is mentioned on the quote before you confirm your order.

What is the refund processing time after an accepted return?

The refund will be issued at the latest 14 days After receiving and inspecting the product at our warehouse, the refund will be processed using the same payment method as the original purchase.

Can I return a spare part that has already been installed?

No, unless the part has a proven non-conformity or hidden defect. A part that has been installed, used, or modified is no longer considered new and cannot be returned under the right of withdrawal. If in doubt, contact our customer service department before any installation.

Do you deliver abroad?
