container scam

For several months, the maritime container sector has been subject to numerous attempts at scams and theft. We increase the number of communication channels in order to help you as much as possible and avoid disappointments!

We are ourselves at our 4rd complaint against X for identity theft.

Scams usurping the name CUBNER are currently raging on the web in different forms, sites resembling ours in every way, pages on social networks, etc.

Beware of price offers that are too low ! If in doubt contact us via our contact form or via our head office number. There are some simple things that can help you spot scams.

1. Spotting container scams:

  • Beware of price offers that are too low! If in doubt, contact us via our contact form or via our head office number.
  • The off-market price
  • No landline number to contact the company
  • A caller ID abroad
  • Check reviews online
  • On social networks: check comments, page age, etc.
  • A SIRET that exists, but which belongs to a company which does not have a website
  • Wobbly legal notices with missing data.

These counterfeiters have set up fake companies and the whole thing is often very well put together.

Internet fraud

2. Fraudulent companies we know:

  • As of 22/06/2021, we filed a complaint against a new counterfeiter => CUBNER BOX. They use our SIRET with the address of one of our competitors.
  • COSMO CONTAINER
  • Gery containers services (they use the CUBNER graphic charter and copied our site entirely by just changing the images of the logo) => THIS SITE HAS BEEN CLOSED UPDATE OF 10/05/21
  • The Facebook page: CUBNERS (with an S)
  • The Facebook page: Container High Cube
  • The Facebook page: Cubner – Containers
  • The Facebook page: Cubnox – Container
  • Blue container services
  • Bung'eco
  • CCR containers
  • Well Containers
  • CUBNER Spain
  • CUBNER.INC
  • Doc solutions
  • EURO CONTAINER
  • Pacific container
  • Cubner-ltd

3. The setup of the scam:

Scammers more or less always use the same circuit for you sell non-existent containers.

  • Offer a price much lower than market rates.
  • Only offers exchange on a cell phone
  • Use a gmail or outlook or other email account.
  • Or uses an email address almost identical to those of real companies. What can change? The .com or .fr where they add _containers or -conteneur.

For example: contact@cubners.com (the extra S is a false address) or even inc@gmail.com (it's on gmail, it's a fake address)

  • Asks you to pay a deposit before sending the container.

4. How to fight these container scams?

  • Do not hesitate to share and comment on Linkedin or Facebook in order to share your experience and warn as many people as possible.
  • Share your experience with the #BalanceTonContainer on Facebook and Linkedin to centralize all the useful information!
