Understanding technical terms
CWO (Cargo Worthy): This is the international standard. A CWO container is guaranteed to be structurally sound for transport and stacking. It is completely watertight.
CSC (Container Safety Convention) certificate: A true technical inspection of the container, it is mandatory for all maritime transport.
PTI (Pre-Trip Inspection): test protocol carried out on the container's refrigeration unit before each delivery.
Cubner Lifetime Warranty: This extension covers the perforation of the corten steel structure, subject to normal use and annual maintenance of the joints and paintwork.

What is the real difference between a used container and a CWO container?
A used, "raw" container may have leaks or structural weaknesses. A container CWO (Cargo Worthy) The container sold by Cubner has been inspected by an expert. This ensures that the container is not only watertight and airtight, but also meets international safety standards for the transport of goods.
What exactly does the Cubner "Lifetime Guarantee" cover?
The Cubner lifetime warranty applies to the primary Corten steel structure of the "Premier Voyage" and "Premium" containers. It covers the occurrence of perforating corrosion that could compromise the container's watertightness or strength. It is subject to normal use (no mechanical shocks) and regular maintenance of the walls and seals.
Why is the refrigeration unit not guaranteed on the Reefer Standard range?
The Standard range consists of used units primarily intended for maritime transport or temporary storage at a controlled budget. Although tested before departure, the refrigeration unit is a complex mechanical component whose maintenance history may vary. For complete peace of mind, we recommend the range Premium ou First Journey.
Can I export my container with a 12-month CSC certificate?
Absolutely. The CSC (Container Safety Convention) certificate is mandatory for all maritime transport. A 12-month certificate means your container is fit to be loaded onto a container ship for that entire period. After 12 months, a new inspection can extend the certificate's validity.
How do I claim under my warranty if there's a problem?
It's simple: contact your Cubner advisor with your invoice number and the container serial number (a unique 11-character identifier). Our customer service department will analyze your request within 48 hours to arrange a service call or a replacement if necessary.
Does the warranty cover damage caused by salt or sea air?
Our containers are made of Corten steel, a self-protecting alloy specifically designed to withstand corrosive marine environments. However, periodic rinsing with fresh water is recommended if you are located within 500m of the coastline to preserve the structural warranty.
