40 feet dry shipping container

The 40-foot dry shipping container is one of our best-selling products. Its versatility allows it to be used as a 12-meter shipping container, a storage container, or a container customized to your specifications. Its price per square meter makes it an affordable solution for storing your goods.

This type of 40-foot shipping container exists in different categories: first voyage (new) and/or last voyage (used).

The 40-foot dry container offers several advantages; a non-exhaustive list is provided below:

40-foot container price : Its price allows you to make available a large format packaging for your goods which need to be transported or simply stored outdoors for a short period to an undefined duration.

Capacity : With its 12m length and 2,45m exterior width, this long storage unit can hold 24 Euro pallets (80×120 cm) or 21 VMF pallets (100×120 cm). Its interior height is 2,70m, making it ideal for transporting bulky goods.

Consider a High Cube solution from Cubner, 30 cm more can make all the difference with a 40-foot High Cube container.

Versatility : The 40-foot dry container , also known as a dry storage container, transports and stores goods. It can be transported by sea, river, rail, and road until it is unloaded or stored in a yard. The 12-meter container can be converted into an ICE40 for storing your goods in a controlled atmosphere, either positive or negative temperature.

Durability : Its Corten steel structure is composed of an alloy of iron, chromium, copper, and nickel. This superstructure may lose some of its paint over time, but rust will develop a patina and strengthen it. It is designed to last and withstand the harshest conditions, such as salt air. Its corrugated sheet metal structure, with its 28mm floor supports, ensures your container will last a lifetime.

Security : The 40 dry container is a secure and reinforced structure; a burglar would have to grind down the sheet metal or the door hinges, generating noise that would alert the environment and the neighborhood over a long distance.

For example: many of our customers use Cubner containers on their current or future construction sites to secure their equipment.

To improve security, Cubner offers a wide selection of padlocks available here.

Multimodal : Thanks to its four corners, making it easily transportable, the 40-foot container can be transported on a container ship, barge, train, truck, and/or a specific flatbed trailer with twist-lock couplings. Before arriving on your property or in your parking lot, the container will have used one of the transport methods mentioned above. It is important to have levelling blocks or a set of levelling blocks such as CaleRouge or CalePoly available here.

Modular : Discover our 40-foot shipping containers transformed in our workshops . They can take the form of a container workshop, a container office, a container station, a container garden shed, an extra room in your garden to accommodate your family and/or friends, etc.

Compliance: Our containers comply with international standards:

  • The ISO standard (International Organization for Standardization) is the following for our 40-foot containers (42G1): ISO6346 (container identification code) and ISO1161 (container dimensions)
  • CSC certification (International Convention on Container Safety) imposes rules on the approval and quality of shipping containers.
  • The COA (Container Owners Association) incorporates best practices for shipping container professions such as servicing, maintenance and repair of equipment.

If the 40-foot container is not tall enough for you, check out our standard 40-foot dry high cube containers with their extra 30 cm, meeting your needs.

If the length is too great, the 20-foot High Cube container will meet your requirements.
